Standing up for Britain and the South West

Don is an experienced and successful politician, a passionate Conservative and a defender of everything British.

He is a seasoned campaigner, being part of and coordinating local campaigns. He knows that hard work and good team building skills are what's needed to beat the Lib Dems and UKIP and he has a proven track record of putting these skills to work. He is Portfolio Holder for the Environment in Poole. A successful negotiator, he believes in working to people's strengths.

He has extensive Communication and Media abilities, and makes frequent appearances on TV, radio and in print. He regularly visits friends in Gibraltar. He is often in other parts of the South West on business, visiting friends and relatives or enjoying the beauty and culture. His business career has been wide and diverse:

Trained in economics and world trade while working in the City. A highly qualified Diver, he set up the world famous Poole Dive Centre when he moved from London down to Poole. He owned and skippered a fishing boat.

He is now a Computer and Management Consultant and he knows how to think creatively around any issue.

• To use my business knowledge and experience to support and champion all business and industry in the South West, including farming, fishing, tourism, manufacturing and retail.
• To work with all Conservative MEPs, MPs and Councillors, in the South West, to achieve the strongest Conservative team possible.
• To promote the Arts, Culture and Diversity of the South West in the EU.
• To expose areas of unfairness and breaches in the EU rules by other member States that disadvantage Britain and the South West.
Campaigning for equal application of laws and opposing Gold Plating of EU laws.
• To use my computing and communications skills to keep people in the South West informed on all aspects of the EU.

I believe in the sovereignty of the State and will expose and oppose any moves to take away the culture of freedom and enterprise that has made Britain great and respected around the world.
