"I live in North Somerset with my wife Lynda and our two children
Edward and Lizzie. The South West is where I work - and play.
I have worked for our party for over 20 years - with most of my
career spent here in the West Country, I trained in Bristol and
Somerton Frame before spending 6 wonderful years as Agent in Torbay.
I have served as Campaign Director in Cornwall, Devon, Gloucestershire,
Somerset and Bristol. I was subsequently appointed the Party's South
West Regional Director and recently became one of our Battleground
Directors. The South West is where my home, and my heart, is."

Campaigning for the West Country, standing up
for Britain
- I will always believe that Europe's strength lies in being a
common market of proud independent nation states - never a
European superstate.
- I will work with Associations and candidates in all elections and at
all levels to improve the Conservative Party's standing across the region.
- I will campaign to maintain the balance between our energy needs
and our environment. The South West is the "quality of life" capital
of Britain and we mustn't allow it to be destroyed.
- I will make sure that the cause and needs of our friends in Gibraltar
are heard loudly in the European corridors of power.
- I will campaign for the rights of our countryside communities.
I will provide a voice for the South West's farmers and fishermen.
Food production and security are now key issues for the South West.
- I understand that the South West is the home of our armed forces.
They must be accorded the respect and resources that their service to
our country demands. I fundamentally oppose both a common European foreign
policy and a European army.
- I will use my role as an MEP as a platform to campaign for better
transport links right across the Region. We must have better roads
and railways.
